Sustainable coffee is KLM’s new bet

Douwe Egberts sustainable coffee will be served on all KLM’s flights.

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will serve sustainable coffee from Douwe Egberts on all flights – both in European and intercontinental destinations – from 1 October this year (2018).

The Dutch airline company, as part of its sustainable development policy, decided to invest in the JDE coffee – Jacobs Douwe Egberts, a product certified by the UTZ organization.

«We are delighted and proud of our collaboration with Douwe Egberts (see video below)», said Miriam Kartman, executive vice president of KLM Services on Board, in a statement. «Good coffee is important to our customers and KLM also believes that it is extremely important to serve sustainable coffee,» she adds.

Customers can also enjoy this sustainable coffee in the VIP lounges – European Crown Lounge and Intercontinental Crown Lounge – from Amsterdam Airport.
